Murdoch koopt rechten eredivisie. NOS: minder beelden en pas later op avond.  Het zou gaan om de grootste tv-deal in de historie van het Nederlandse voetbal. Thousands of fake Olympic Condoms seized near Soho. Thousands of fake Olympic condoms have been seized as Westminster Council cracks down on counterfeit Olympic merchandise. Since the start of the Games items worth around £10,000 in total have been seized from traders with mobile teams dedicated to wiping out the problem. I just took this photo in the local Albert Heijn supermarket. A few observations on the wireless keyboard they’re selling under their own house brand. Badr Hari, het merk. De naam Badr Hari is als merk gedeponeerd bij het Europese Merkenregister. De aanvrager van de merkregistratie is Yves Gijrath, initiatiefnemer van de Miljonair Fair en woordvoerder en adviseur van de veelbesproken kickbokser. Irish 3-strikes could land in European Court. The Irish Data Protection commissioner has  put a shot across the bows of the music industry, in a move that may end up in  the European court of justice.  The case concerns the  Irish 3-strikes system, also known as the Eircom graduated response protocol. The Eircom protocol is a private agreement between the network provider Eircom, and the music industry companies. It requires Eircom to implement a 3-strikes sytem taking copyright infringement allegations directly from the music companies, forwarding notices and implementing sanctions. SmartDocuments uit Deventer heeft beslag laten leggen op software van Interaction/next uit Rijssen. Dit in verband met een “vermoedelijke inbreuk op de auteursrechten op de software van SmartDocuments.”  John Lageman, directeur van SmartDocuments, stelt dat zijn organisatie de afgelopen maanden een onderzoek heeft ingesteld. Daaruit zou het vermoeden zijn gerezen dat “de software zeer gelijkend is met onze software. Vermoed wordt ook dat de software al ontwikkeld is terwijl zij nog bij SmartDocuments werkten.” Hij meent dat daardoor inbreuk is gepleegd op het auteursrecht van SmartDocuments. Coproductie digitaal erfgoed Nederland/Vlaanderen. (…) Tijdens een overleg werd ruim aandacht besteed aan een heikel punt, namelijk auteursrecht en open data. Het laatste is een techniek waarbij de gescande informatie in een open formaat aan derden wordt aangeboden. Zo'n derde partij kan de gegevens gebruiken voor eigen doeleinden, bijvoorbeeld een website met werken van bepaalde Nederlandstalige auteurs. (…) De twee partijen pleiten wel voor voorzichtigheid bij de invoering van de nieuwe Europese Richtlijn inzake het hergebruik van overheidsinformatie (PSI) om prille businessmodellen niet in gevaar te brengen en te zorgen voor een gezond evenwicht tussen ondernemerschap en de publieke opdracht van erfgoedinstellingen. Personalia: Per 1 augustus is BNO Advies uitgebreid met een extra jurist: Kim Braber. BNO Advies bestaat nu uit drie personen: Kitty de Jong voor zakelijke ondersteuning en Anouk Siegelaar en Kim Braber voor juridisch advies. Piratenpartij mag gooi doen naar Kamerzetel. De Piratenpartij heeft voldoende steunbetuigingen verzameld om zich in te mogen schrijven voor de aanstaande verkiezingen. Dat geldt tenminste voor de kieskringen op het Nederlandse vasteland. Op de Antillen is de situatie nog onduidelijk, daar kan nog gebruik worden gemaakt van een verzuimperiode. Using copyright to avoid Freedom of Info law? Ha, ha, NICE try! Public bodies that disclose copyright-protected information in order to comply with a request under freedom of information (FOI) laws are not guilty of copyright infringement, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has said.  Although the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) states that public bodies must not disclose information where the disclosure is "prohibited by or under any enactment", the UK's Copyright, Designs and Patents Act (CDPA) contains an exception to infringement of copyright that enables disclosure to take place, the watchdog said.
