Veiling valse kunst voorkomen. Door ingrijpen van Pictoright is deze week voorkomen dat een er een hoeveelheid valse kunst is geveild. Een klein veilinghuis bood de werken aan als curiosa en was zich schijnbaar niet bewust van het inbreuk makend handelen. Het betrof zowel werken die waren nageschilderd alsmede werken in de stijl van een kunstenaar die vervolgens zijn voorzien van een valse handtekening. Niet alle werken waren vervalsingen van bij Pictoright aangesloten kunstenaars, maar het veilinghuis heeft na interventie van Pictoright besloten alle werken terug te trekken. Canada's Supreme Court struck down the patent on global pharmaceuticals giant Pfizer Inc's Viagra erectile dysfunction drug on Thursday and opened the door to generic competition.
