“You will be first point of contact for all IP related questions including: the management of the IP portfolio for the UK, Benelux, Germany and Spain, leading systematic reviews of IP needs and coverage, tracking live issues and projects on behalf of brand owners and coordinating regular reviews with brand owners and Novagraaf. Besides you will review, negotiate and terminate various commercial contracts such as sourcing agreements, distribution agreements etc. The International Legal Counsel will have an active role in setting up standard documentation. Data privacy is an important topic for Wessanen. You will ensure that Wessanen is compliant with GDPR including: monitor implementation of data privacy policies and keep policies up to date, support local data privacy ambassadors with in-depth knowledge and pragmatic solutions, contract negotiations (with suppliers), training and awareness.
You will work closely together with the General Counsel & Company Secretary, the Legal Counsels based in France and Italy and with your colleagues of the business of Wessanen across Europe.
Profile
Qualified lawyer or Legal Counsel with at least 5-8 years PQE
Proven knowledge of IP and commercial contracts
Knowledge of GDPR is a pré
Demonstrates ability to learn quickly, as well as being a self-starter and a team player
Good people skills to work closely with colleagues at all levels and in all areas of the International organization
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills required, Dutch, German and Spanish is a pré
