INTA bericht: "Canada is one of the few countries in the world that does not currently oblige trademark applicants to file a claim of goods and services with reference to the Nice Classification, the international system of classifying goods and services for the purpose of trademark registration. However, significant changes to Canadian trademark law are on the horizon and would bring Canada into compliance with several international trademark treaties, including Nice. The date on which these changes would become effective has not yet been set, but it appears likely that the changes will take effect no earlier than 2018."
